Senior Marine Electrical & Electronics Engineer (8+ Years Exp.)

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Marine Electrical & Electronics Engineer with over 8 years of experience to join our Singapore branch. The successful candidate will lead onsite technical services, troubleshooting, and maintenance for advanced marine power and electrical systems, specializing in Hyundai equipment (HiMAP, VCB, ACB) and alternative makers' equivalents.

Key Responsibilities

1. Maintenance & Repair of Ship Electrical Systems

• HiMAP & SYMAP: Execute comprehensive maintenance, repair, and advanced troubleshooting.

• VCB & ACB: Perform routine maintenance, overhaul, and troubleshooting for Vacuum Circuit Breakers (VCB) and Air Circuit Breakers (ACB).

• Alternator: Diagnose, repair, and troubleshoot marine alternators and power generation systems.

2. Onboard Service

• Port Service: Attend vessels at port to deliver rapid repair and critical troubleshooting.

• Drydock Attendance: Manage and execute extensive electrical maintenance and repair tasks during drydocking periods.

• Sailing Service: Provide onboard sailing services and related technical tasks to ensure operational continuity at sea.
3. Reporting

• Compile and deliver high-quality technical service reports, Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and daily progress updates strictly in English.

4. Customer Support

• Manage technical inquiries from ship owners, management companies, and crew, providing professional assistance and technical solutions.

Requirements (Strict Criteria)

1. Experience & Background

• Minimum 8 years of proven experience in marine electrical and electronics engineering.

• Eligible Career Background (Only the following experiences will be recognized):

o Marine electrical/electronics service experience within shipyards or specialized service providers.

o Professional experience as a Marine Electro-Technical Officer (ETO) or Electrical Engineer onboard commercial vessels.

2. Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related marine discipline.

• Language: Fluent in English (both written and spoken) for professional technical reporting and client communication.

• Mindset: Strongly customer-focused and service-oriented attitude.

• Interpersonal Skills: Proven ability to build and maintain solid professional relationships with colleagues, subcontractors, and clients.

Preferred Skills & Expertise

• Minimum 8 years of intensive experience in After-Sales (A/S) service specifically for ship electrical systems.

• Hands-on A/S experience with Hyundai equipment, including:

o Protective Relays: HiMAP, SYMAP

o Vacuum Circuit Breakers: VCB (HVF, HGV series)

o Air Circuit Breakers: ACB (HAT, HiAN, HGN series)

• Proven A/S experience with similar electrical and automation equipment from other major maritime makers.
