Job Summary

The Kindergarten Care Programme Staff supports children’s holistic development by providing quality care and a safe, nurturing environment. You will work closely with supervisors and colleagues to ensure every child thrives in a stimulating and well-managed setting.

Responsibilities

  • Provide attentive care and supervision to kindergarten children to ensure their safety and well-being at all times
  • Prepare and maintain a safe, clean, organised, and stimulating learning environment that supports children’s development
  • Execute daily classroom routines including attendance taking, meal supervision, hygiene practices, rest time, and smooth transitions
  • Observe and document children’s developmental progress and communicate relevant feedback to the Centre Head
  • Follow all organisational policies, child safeguarding requirements, health and safety procedures, and regulatory standards
  • Collaborate effectively with team members to support a positive and nurturing classroom atmosphere
  • Adapt to dynamic classroom needs with patience, responsibility, and organisational skills
  • Support children physically during daily routines and classroom activities

Requirements

  • Experience working with preschool or kindergarten-aged children is preferred
  • Passion for supporting young children’s holistic development
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with children and colleagues
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team

Certification Requirements

  • English language proficiency at O-Level (at least C6), N(Academic) Level English Grade 4
  • IELTS (Academic) 5.5, SPM certificate (equivalent to O levels) or Workplace Literacy Series (WPL) (SOA 6; Reading, Listening, Speaking & Writing)
  • SCCEC/ SCCEY/ ACECCE/ Diploma in Early Childhood/ Higher Nitec in Early Childhood
  • L1 Trained is an advantage
