Safe Place at Lakeside Family Services (LFS) is a social service programme committed to supporting individuals and families in the community. We are looking for a Communications Executive to join our team and play a key role in strengthening our communications efforts, raising awareness of our mission and programmes, and showcasing our impact in the community.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate Communications Initiatives and Assets
- Contribute ideas and recommendations for communications campaigns and initiatives to increase awareness of LFS’s mission and engage stakeholders.
- Prepare briefs and coordinate communications projects from planning to completion.
- Coordinate the development and publication of communications materials, including social media posts, newsletters, impact reports, annual reports and event collateral.
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to gather data and stories, arrange interviews, manage reviews and approvals, and ensure timely delivery of communications materials.
- Develop and manage the content calendar for LFS’s social media platforms.
- Review communications materials to ensure consistency in branding, tone and messaging.
- Track communications projects and follow up with stakeholders to ensure deliverables are completed on time.
- Monitor communications performance and recommend improvements to enhance audience engagement.
- Triage social media enquiries to the appropriate internal teams.
- Update and maintain website content through the content management system.
- Coordinate with media outlets, including responding to media enquiries, preparing communications materials, obtaining approvals and facilitating media opportunities that showcase LFS’s mission and impact.
Create Content and Visual Assets
- Develop creative concepts and content that communicate key messages effectively across digital, print and event channels.
- Design communications assets such as social media graphics, posters and event collateral, ensuring alignment with LFS’s brand identity.
- Capture and edit photos, short-form videos and interviews for use across communications channels.
- Write engaging social media copy and captions that highlight LFS’s work, programmes and impact.
Other Responsibilities
- Maintain and organise LFS’s digital asset library, including photographs, videos, design files and communications resources.
- Coordinate with external vendors to obtain quotations and manage the production of approved print and media materials, ensuring quality and timely delivery.
- Undertake any other duties and responsibilities assigned by the supervisor or Head of Department.
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Communications, Marketing, Design, Visual Communications, Journalism or a related discipline.
- 1 to 3 years of relevant experience in communications, marketing, content creation, graphic design or a related field. Fresh graduates with a strong portfolio in graphic design and digital content creation are welcome to apply.
- Proficient in Canva, with familiarity in Photoshop or equivalent design software.
- Experience creating content for social media platforms such as Instagram, Facebook and TikTok.
- Good writing and editing skills, with the ability to adapt content for different audiences and platforms.
- Strong project management and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Excellent attention to detail, creativity and visual aesthetics.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.
- A collaborative mindset, curiosity to learn and enthusiasm for working in the social service sector.
