Job Summary

The IT Executive is responsible for supporting, maintaining, and enhancing the organization’s IT systems and digital infrastructure within an education environment. This role ensures smooth day-to-day IT operations for academic and administrative staff, supports teaching and learning technologies, and helps maintain secure, reliable, and efficient IT services across the institution.

Key Responsibilities

· Provide IT support to academic staff, administrative staff, and students for hardware, software, network, and system-related issues.

· Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot computers, laptops, projectors, smart boards, printers, servers, and other educational IT equipment.

· Support Learning Management Systems (LMS), online learning platforms, classroom technology, and video conferencing tools.

· Monitor and maintain IT systems, networks, data backups, and servers to ensure availability and security.

· Manage user accounts, access rights, email systems, and student/staff IT accounts.

· Ensure compliance with IT policies, data protection standards, and cybersecurity best practices.

· Assist in the implementation of new education technologies, system upgrades, and digital transformation initiatives.

· Conduct regular system updates, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting to minimize downtime.

· Provide basic IT training and guidance to staff and students when required.

Requirements & Qualifications

· Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.

· 1–3 years of relevant IT support or IT operations experience (experience in education sector is an advantage; fresh graduates may be considered).

· Knowledge of computer hardware, operating systems (Windows/Mac), and common software applications.

· Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS), Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, and educational platforms is an advantage.

· Basic understanding of networking (LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, routers, switches).

· Awareness of data privacy, cybersecurity, and system security practices.

· Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

· Good communication skills with the ability to support both technical and non-technical users.
