Position Summary
As a Senior Accountant, you will play a vital role in our finance department, managing complex financial operations across multiple international entities. This role requires a high degree of accuracy, a strong understanding of international tax compliance particularly for the Taiwan market and the ability to oversee full-cycle accounting processes in a fast-paced marketplace environment
Key Responsibilities
- Taxation & Compliance: Prepare and review Taiwan VAT reporting, liaise with Taiwan tax agents regarding refunds, and review tax matters across all company entities to ensure total compliance
- Transaction Management: Perform payout verification to ensure accuracy, monitor payout statuses, and proactively follow up on failed, rejected, or unclaimed funds
- Financial Recording & Reporting: Classify bank and payment gateway transactions by category and currency; maintain supplier invoices and payments using SQL Accounting
- Month-End Closing: Prepare accruals, adjustments, and closing journal entries; perform monthly reconciliations of bank accounts and payment gateways; and investigate any financial discrepancies
- Internal Operations: Manage payroll reports, staff claims, fixed assets, and petty cash, ensuring all supporting documentation is complete and accurate within reporting timelines
- Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, external auditors, and tax agents on all financial and accounting matters
Core Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 2 - 4 years experience
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in SQL Accounting software and Microsoft Excel (including advanced financial formulas and spreadsheets)
- Language Proficiency: Fluency in English and Bahasa Malaysia. Due to the requirement to liaise with Taiwan tax agents and communities, fluency in spoken Mandarin is highly preferred
- Experience: Proven experience in handling full-cycle accounting, tax compliance, and financial reconciliations; experience in a global marketplace or tech environment is an advantage
- Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities, high attention to detail to identify numerical errors, and a strong sense of responsibility

Pay: RM3,800.00 - RM5,000.00 per month
