We are looking for a responsible and detail-oriented Purchasing Executive to manage procurement activities in a furniture manufacturing environment. The role involves sourcing materials, coordinating with suppliers, and ensuring timely purchasing to support smooth production operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage daily purchasing activities including issuing Purchase Orders (PO)
• Source, compare, and negotiate with suppliers for best pricing and terms
• Follow up with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials
• Purchase raw materials (wood, hardware, fittings, etc.) based on production needs
• Maintain accurate purchasing records and supplier database
• Monitor stock levels and coordinate with warehouse and production teams
• Assist in cost control and identify cost-saving opportunities
• Resolve supplier issues such as delays, shortages, or quality concerns
• Prepare basic purchasing reports and updates for management
• Ensure all procurement processes comply with company procedures

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years experience in purchasing or procurement
• Experience in furniture manufacturing or production environment is an added advantage
• Strong negotiation and supplier management skills
• Good understanding of purchasing processes and material planning
• Able to use Autocount system (PO, supplier records, basic tracking)
• Basic Microsoft Excel knowledge
• Responsible, organised, and detail-oriented
• Able to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: RM4,000.00 - RM5,500.00 per month
