Job Summary

Join a prestigious public listed organization as a Project Engineer to lead and support engineering projects from design through implementation, ensuring compliance, quality, and timely delivery.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee engineering projects from conception to completion while ensuring compliance with safety and building regulations
• Coordinate subcontractors and project teams to fulfill contractual performance requirements
• Prepare detailed internal and external reports on job status, daily progress, estimates, and deliverables
• Negotiate contract terms, manage drafts, bid on projects, and secure permits to identify and mitigate risks
• Communicate with stakeholders to ensure quality standards exceed company expectations and client needs are met efficiently
• Review project progress daily to maintain quality standards and ensure estimates stay within budget
• Supervise project execution to complete on time and surpass customer requirements
• Plan and coordinate all building process aspects under tight deadlines, including hiring contractors and collaborating with engineers, architects, and vendors
• Obtain necessary permits and licenses from relevant authorities
• Evaluate project progress and prepare comprehensive reports
• Enforce adherence to health and safety standards and report any issues promptly

Required competencies and certifications

• Diploma or Degree in Electronics, Engineering, Building and Construction, Civil Engineering, or equivalent
• Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience, including at least 1 year in project management
• In-depth knowledge of construction procedures, materials, and project management principles
• Familiarity with quality and health and safety standards
• Proficiency in construction or project management software

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• WSH Certificate (BCSS)
• Strong project and people management skills demonstrated through leading teams and projects
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills applied in fast-paced project environments
• Ability to work effectively within tight schedules
• Self-driven with a collaborative team player mindset
