Role Description The Electrical Engineer will work full time in a hybrid arrangement based in Greater Kuala Lumpur. Responsibilities include designing and reviewing electrical systems for power generation, transmission, and building services projects, including power distribution and control systems. The role involves preparing technical drawings and specifications, performing calculations and simulations, and ensuring compliance with Malaysian codes, standards, and regulatory requirements. The Electrical Engineer will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, support project planning and coordination, participate in site visits, inspections, and commissioning, and assist with troubleshooting and optimization of existing electrical installations. The position also requires clear documentation, reporting, and communication with clients and internal stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in Electrical Engineering and electricity principles, with the ability to apply them to practical engineering solutions.
• Proficiency in electrical design and power distribution for industrial, commercial, and building services applications.
• Knowledge of power systems, including transmission, substations, protection, and control for utility or large-scale projects.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field; eligibility or registration with the Board of Engineers Malaysia is an advantage.
• Experience with relevant standards, Malaysian regulatory requirements, and safety practices for electrical installations.
• Ability to read and produce engineering drawings, use design and calculation software, and prepare clear technical documentation.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate in multidisciplinary project environments.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and willingness to participate in site work and commissioning.
