Job Purpose
Lead, coordinate, and oversee all Piping & Layout Engineering activities for topside facilities, ensuring effective planning, execution, and alignment with project and operational objectives.

Lead, coordinate, and oversee all Piping & Layout Engineering activities for topside facilities, ensuring effective planning, execution, and alignment with project and operational objectives.
Principal Accountabilities
- Direct Concept Layout Studies, Engineering Definition activities, FEED deliverables, and Detailed Design Engineering (DDE) reviews for piping and layout disciplines across all engineering phases.
- Develop and implement the Mechanical Design Basis, Topsides Functional Specifications, and Scopes of Work (including relevant sub-sections) for MSQ/RFQ packages relating to topsides engineering services.
- Manage the preparation of material requisitions, engineering calculations, technical reports, analyses, drawings, and equipment/package specifications during Conceptual, Engineering Definition, and FEED stages.
- Review FEED and DDE submissions prepared by engineering contractors and provide technical feedback in accordance with Management Standards.
- Assess and highlight piping and layout design modifications proposed during FEED and DDE phases.
- Drive continuous improvement and capability development initiatives to strengthen technical expertise and leadership competencies within the team.
- Ensure engineering documentation and project data are maintained and managed in compliance with the Company Offshore Management Standards and departmental requirements.

- Proficiency in engineering software and design tools.
- Strong technical and engineering analysis capability.
- Broad project exposure and practical engineering experience.
- Knowledge of package engineering processes.
- Experience managing engineering subcontractors and third-party deliverables.
- Understanding of multidisciplinary interfaces and coordination requirements.
- Advanced technical expertise in piping and layout engineering.

- Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills.
- Minimum 15 years of relevant experience in Piping & Layout Engineering.
- At least 10 years in a senior engineering or lead engineering capacity.
- Prior involvement in floating production facility projects is preferred, particularly during Conceptual Studies, FEED, and Detailed Design Engineering phases.
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline from a recognized institution.
- Registered with the Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM) as a Graduate Engineer, or an equivalent recognized professional engineering body (e.g., Engineering Council UK).
- Professional Engineer (PE) status with a Practising Certificate, or equivalent professional registration, will be an added advantage.
