Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to support the end-to-end delivery of a digital product and enterprise technology system. The successful candidate will work closely with Product Managers, Product Owners, designers, engineers, vendors and business stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery, launch, stabilisation and transition of the digital solution.
The role requires a hands-on and delivery-focused professional with strong experience in digital product delivery, project governance, cross-functional coordination, stakeholder management and agile delivery. The Project Manager will be responsible for coordinating the remaining delivery activities through production launch, post-launch stabilisation and transition to business and operations teams.
Key Responsibilities
1. Project Planning and Delivery
- Maintain and coordinate the integrated project plan, milestones, dependencies, risks, issues, decisions and action items.
- Track delivery progress against agreed scope, sprint commitments, milestones and release plans.
- Identify delivery delays, dependencies and potential risks, and coordinate appropriate mitigation actions.
- Coordinate release planning, cutover activities, operational readiness, post-production stabilisation and project handover.
- Ensure project deliverables are completed within agreed timelines, scope and quality expectations.
2. Agile Delivery and Team Coordination
- Work closely with Product Managers, Product Owners and delivery teams to coordinate agile delivery activities.
- Coordinate sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews and retrospectives.
- Track and follow up on actions arising from agile ceremonies and project meetings.
- Facilitate communication and collaboration across product, design, engineering, operations and business teams.
- Support coordination of user research, user adoption, release readiness and post-launch support activities.
3. Project Governance, Vendor and Stakeholder Management
- Monitor vendor performance and contractual deliverables, including project milestones, deliverable acceptance and payment milestones.
- Coordinate with vendors and internal stakeholders to resolve delivery issues and escalate concerns where required.
- Prepare project status reports, governance updates, meeting records, decision papers and other project documentation.
- Maintain accurate records of project decisions, actions, risks, issues and dependencies.
- Provide timely project updates to relevant stakeholders and management.
- Ensure agreed actions are followed through to completion.
4. Testing, Cybersecurity and Release Readiness
- Plan, coordinate and monitor system integration testing, user acceptance testing and operational readiness testing.
- Coordinate security assessments and track cybersecurity-related findings, remediation activities and approvals.
- Monitor defects, risks, remediation actions and testing exit criteria.
- Coordinate release-readiness activities and ensure outstanding issues are appropriately assessed and managed before production deployment.
- Support production launch and post-launch stabilisation activities.
5. Budget, Procurement and Project Administration
- Track project budgets, procurement activities, contracts, payment milestones, invoices and project assets.
- Coordinate with relevant stakeholders on procurement and contractual matters.
- Maintain accurate project financial and administrative records.
- Monitor project expenditure against approved budgets and highlight potential variances.
- Ensure project documentation and administrative activities are completed in accordance with established processes.
6. Post-Launch Support and Transition
- Coordinate post-production support and defect triage activities.
- Track production issues and coordinate resolution with product, engineering, vendor and business teams.
- Support user communication, education and adoption activities in coordination with relevant teams.
- Coordinate knowledge transfer, documentation and transition activities.
- Support the handover of the completed solution to designated business and operations teams.
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Project Management, Product Management or a related discipline.
- Relevant experience in project management, digital product delivery, technology delivery or a related field.
- Experience managing or supporting the delivery of digital systems or products across project planning, development, testing, production launch and post-launch stabilisation.
- Experience coordinating project risks, issues, dependencies, vendors, budgets, procurement activities and stakeholder reporting.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams comprising product, design, engineering, operations and business stakeholders.
- Good understanding of Agile delivery methodologies and project management practices.
- Strong organisational and coordination skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including preparation of status reports, meeting records, governance papers and project documentation.
- Meticulous, proactive and tenacious, with strong follow-through on actions and deliverables.
- Ability to work independently and effectively under pressure in a fast-paced project environment.
- Strong problem-solving, stakeholder management and communication skills.
Advantageous Skills and Experience
- Certification in Scrum Master, Product Owner, Business Analysis or Project Management.
- Experience working with Jira, Confluence and Figma.
- Experience coordinating cybersecurity assessments, security remediation and risk management activities.
- Experience managing technology vendors and third-party delivery partners.
- Experience with production deployment, operational readiness and post-launch transition.
- Experience working in Agile or hybrid project delivery environments.
