Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and ensure wastewater parameters, including COD, BOD, Zinc, TSS, pH, and other relevant parameters, consistently comply with the DOE Standard B requirements.
• Manage and coordinate the proper handling, storage, and disposal of latex sludge and sludge cake through approved scheduled waste disposal contractors such as Quality Alam.
• Ensure wastewater generated from production, compounding, chemical preparation, and chlorination processes is properly channelled to the Industrial Effluent Treatment System (IETS) for treatment before being discharged to the public drainage system.
• Oversee the overall operation and activities of the wastewater treatment plant to ensure treated effluent consistently meets the standards and requirements stipulated by the Department of Environment (DOE).
• Maintain proper housekeeping and organisation of the sludge storage area. Ensure all sludge is properly contained in polybags, labelled, stored, and managed in accordance with DOE requirements and applicable scheduled waste regulations.
• Oversee the operation and maintenance of the scrubber plant to ensure the scrubber systems operate efficiently and effectively in controlling air emissions.
• Monitor and manage chlorination activities to ensure chlorine concentration (PPM) consistently meets the required specifications and operational standards.
• Prepare and submit monthly wastewater treatment analysis results and scheduled waste inventory reports to the Department of Environment (DOE) within the required timeframe.
• Ensure the public drains surrounding and outside the factory premises are maintained in a clean and acceptable condition, with no unauthorised discharge, contamination, or obstruction.
• Perform any additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by the immediate superior from time to time.
• Exercise authority and perform duties in accordance with the relevant work process procedures, work instructions, company policies, and applicable DOE requirements.

Pay: RM3,200.00 - RM3,800.00 per month
