What you'll be doing:

• Designing and implementing efficient ETL/ELT workflows to ingest, clean, transform, and store data.
• Ensuring data quality, integrity, security, and compliance across data pipelines and storage systems.
• Following the data design principles and architecture from Data Architect; ensure architecture and technologies implemented are aligned to company standards.
• Setting data engineering best practices, coding standards, and continuously optimizing engineering processes for the data engineering team.
• Leading the adoption of modern data technologies and methodologies including batch, real-time streaming, big data tools, and cloud platforms.
• Collaborating closely with data analysts and IT teams to understand data requirements and deliver actionable datasets.
• Provide coordination on requirements clarification, user acceptance testing (UAT), rollout, day-to-day operation & support, maintenance and enhancements.
• Managing task priorities, mentoring and train junior data engineers for skills development and performance improvement.
• Office base in KL and visit Overseas offices when necessary JOB

What You'll Need:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Business or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of proven experiences in data engineering role, or related roles.
• Technical Expert knowledge of data engineering, data modeling, data Warehousing, data Lakehouse and data governance concepts with proven experiences.
• Proven track record managing large-scale data/BI projects.
• Strong data engineering mindset, able to manage complexity, good problem-solving skills and continuous self-improvement.
• Strong interpersonal skills, ability to liaise with all levels of resources between internal and external teams.
• Proactive and able to drive changes.
• Knowledge of cloud data platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud), machine learning or advanced analytics is a must.
