Job Description

Requirements

  • Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Human Resource Management, Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field. 
  • Minimum 3–4 years of hands-on payroll experience, preferably handling multiple companies or clients. 
  • Strong knowledge of Malaysian payroll legislation and statutory requirements, including: 
  • EPF (KWSP) 
  • SOCSO (PERKESO) 
  • EIS 
  • PCB/MTD 
  • HRD Corp 
  • Employment Act 1955 
  • Experience with payroll software and HRIS systems. 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel (e.g., VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, formulas). 
  • High attention to detail with strong numerical and analytical skills. 
  • Able to work independently while managing multiple deadlines. 
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills. 
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and professionalism. 
  • Experience in payroll outsourcing or professional service firms is an added advantage. 
  • Familiarity with accounting systems such as Xero, SQL, or AutoCount is an added advantage.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the full payroll cycle for multiple clients or companies accurately and on schedule. 
  • Process monthly payroll, including salaries, allowances, overtime, commissions, bonuses, deductions, and final payments. 
  • Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, including EPF (KWSP), SOCSO (PERKESO), EIS, PCB (MTD), HRD Corp, and other relevant regulations. 
  • Prepare and submit all statutory contributions and monthly/yearly payroll reports within deadlines. 
  • Handle employee payroll queries and resolve payroll discrepancies promptly. 
  • Process new hires, resignations, salary adjustments, unpaid leave, claims, and other payroll-related changes. 
  • Maintain accurate payroll records and ensure confidentiality of employee information. 
  • Prepare payroll reports for management, finance, and audit purposes. 
  • Support annual payroll activities, including EA Forms, Form E, and payroll reconciliation. 
  • Liaise with government agencies such as LHDN, EPF, PERKESO, HRD Corp, and other authorities when required. 
  • Review and improve payroll processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy. 
  • Assist in payroll system implementation, testing, or process automation initiatives. 
  • Guide and mentor junior payroll executives when necessary. 
  • Perform other payroll and administrative duties assigned by management.
