Job Description:

• Manage and oversee the overall purchasing and procurement activities for construction projects.
• Source, evaluate and negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing and quality materials.
• Prepare and review purchase orders, quotations, contracts and procurement documents.
• Monitor material delivery schedules and ensure materials are delivered on time according to project requirements.
• Coordinate closely with Project, Site, QS and Finance departments to ensure smooth procurement processes.
• Maintain good relationships with suppliers, vendors and subcontractors.
• Monitor market prices, material costs and supplier performance to control procurement costs.
• Ensure all purchases comply with company policies, project specifications and required quality standards.
• Lead and supervise the purchasing team and ensure daily procurement activities are completed efficiently.
• Able to communicate effectively in English, Mandarin and Bahasa Malaysia.

Requirements:

• Diploma/Degree in Purchasing, Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or related field.
• Minimum 3–5 years of purchasing/procurement experience, preferably in the construction industry.
• Strong negotiation, communication and supplier management skills.
• Good knowledge of construction materials, suppliers and procurement processes.
• Able to work independently, manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and purchasing/procurement systems.
• Fluent in English, Mandarin and Bahasa Malaysia.
