Role Description
The Primary Mathematics Teacher is a full-time, on-site role based in Setia Alam, Selangor, Malaysia.

The teacher will plan and deliver engaging mathematics lessons aligned with the enhanced national curriculum, using a variety of teaching methods that support different learning styles.

Daily responsibilities include preparing lesson plans and teaching materials, assessing student progress through assignments and tests, and providing constructive feedback to support individual learning goals.

The role involves maintaining accurate records of student performance, participating in curriculum discussions, and contributing to school-wide academic initiatives.

The teacher is also expected to collaborate with colleagues, communicate regularly with parents and guardians, and help create a safe, inclusive, and disciplined classroom environment that promotes independent thought and active participation.

Qualifications

  • Strong subject-matter expertise in Primary School Mathematics and Mathematics Education, with the ability to teach core concepts clearly and confidently.
  • Demonstrated experience in Lesson Planning and Curriculum Development, including the ability to design age-appropriate, progressive learning activities.
  • Status as a Qualified Teacher, with relevant teaching certification and training in primary education.
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Education, Mathematics, or a closely related field.
  • Effective classroom management skills and the ability to maintain a positive, inclusive learning environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and engage constructively with families.
  • Experience teaching within a national or international curriculum framework is an advantage.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and openness to innovative, student-centered teaching practices.
