  • Establish best practices, standards, and governance frameworks for modeling, simulation, validation, and digital workflows across the organization.
  • Drive adoption of digital twins, virtual prototyping, and advanced analytics to support product development and technology innovation.
  • Prioritize and manage a portfolio of digital and modeling initiatives based on business impact, technical risk, and strategic value.
  • Partner with technology and digital organizations to ensure scalable, secure, and enterprise-ready computing infrastructure, platforms, and deployment frameworks.
  • Influence investment decisions related to HPC, cloud computing, simulation technologies, AI platforms, and data ecosystems.
  • Foster strategic collaborations with universities, research institutions, and industry partners to advance innovation capabilities.
  • Champion a culture of scientific excellence, collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • PhD preferred in Computational Science, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, Applied Mathematics, or a related discipline.
  • 14+ years of experience in computational engineering, modeling and simulation, digital transformation, or advanced R&D environments.
  • Proven success leading large multidisciplinary technical teams and scaling digital capabilities across complex global organizations.
  • Deep expertise in at least two of the following areas:
    • Multiphysics Simulation (CFD, FEM)
    • Molecular or Atomistic Modeling
    • Computational Chemistry
    • Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning
  • Experience with industry-leading tools such as ANSYS, COMSOL, GeoDict, LAMMPS, and modern AI/ML platforms.
  • Strong understanding of model validation, simulation data management, lifecycle governance, and knowledge management.
  • Semiconductor, advanced materials, or other technology-intensive industry experience is highly preferred.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management and executive communication skills with the ability to influence senior leadership and drive enterprise-wide transformation.
