Kitchen Crew (Cafe)

Job Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook food according to the café's recipes and standards.
• Complete daily mise en place and food preparation.
• Ensure food quality, portion and presentation are consistent.
• Handle food safely and maintain proper hygiene standards.
• Keep the kitchen, workstations and equipment clean and organised.
• Follow FIFO and proper food storage procedures.
• Assist with stock checking, preparation and inventory control.
• Monitor ingredient usage and report low-stock, spoiled or damaged items.
• Minimise food wastage and record wastage when required.
• Work closely with the Kitchen, Bar and Service teams during daily operations.
• Assist other kitchen stations when needed, especially during busy periods.
• Follow opening and closing procedures.
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and report any faulty equipment.
• Follow all company policies, kitchen SOPs and food safety procedures.
• Perform other kitchen-related duties assigned by the Kitchen PIC or Management.

Requirements

• Previous kitchen or café experience is preferred, but training will be provided for suitable candidates.
• Able to multitask
• Responsible, punctual and willing to learn.
• Good teamwork and communication skills.
• Able to maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards.
• Able to work on weekends and public holidays when required.
• Positive working attitude and good work discipline.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RM1,800.00 - RM2,500.00 per month
