The Role

We are looking for a Core Developer to join the Software Development team and contribute to the development of a high-performance trading system deployed across financial marketplaces worldwide.

The Core Development team focuses on the design and development of the trading system's core order management protocol, internal messaging and processing, as well as connectivity to external trading destinations.

This is a highly technical engineering role suited to someone who enjoys working with high-performance, low-latency and high-transaction systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop components of the trading system's core order management protocol
• Develop and maintain high-performance internal messaging and processing systems
• Build and enhance connectivity to external trading destinations
• Work on systems operating in high-transaction and low-latency environments
• Contribute to distributed and highly concurrent systems
• Analyse and optimise system and computer performance
• Work closely with engineering teams in a fast-paced and dynamic environment

Key Requirements

• Strong proficiency in modern C++ programming
• Extensive experience developing in a Linux environment
• Strong understanding of complex networking infrastructure, including TCP and UDP
• Strong understanding of computer performance analysis
• Experience programming in high-transaction and/or low-latency systems
• Experience with distributed and/or highly concurrent systems is advantageous
• Genuine interest in trading and financial markets
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
