Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Pharmacist role based in Petaling. The Pharmacist will provide safe and accurate dispensing of medications, counsel customers on proper medication use, potential side effects, and health management, and ensure compliance with relevant pharmaceutical regulations and standard operating procedures. Daily responsibilities include reviewing prescriptions, performing medication checks, managing inventory and ordering stock, and maintaining proper storage and documentation of pharmaceutical products. The Pharmacist will conduct or support health screenings and basic clinical services, such as blood pressure and glucose monitoring, while promoting preventive healthcare and wellness programs. The role also involves collaborating with the pharmacy team to deliver excellent customer service, supporting outlet operations, and contributing to continuous quality improvement in line with Sunway Multicare Pharmacy’s care and professionalism standards.
Qualifications
- Possession of a recognized Pharmacy degree and registration with the relevant Malaysian pharmacy regulatory body; eligibility to practice as a Pharmacist in Malaysia.
- Strong knowledge of pharmacology, therapeutics, and medication safety, with the ability to interpret prescriptions and provide evidence-based counseling.
- Ability to perform accurate dispensing, inventory management, and documentation, including handling controlled medicines in accordance with regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage respectfully with customers, colleagues, and healthcare professionals in a diverse community.
- Customer-focused mindset with a commitment to professional ethics, confidentiality, and delivering high-quality, accessible care.
- Comfort with basic digital tools and pharmacy systems, including point-of-sale and electronic record systems; willingness to adapt to new technologies.
- Experience in community pharmacy or retail pharmacy settings is an advantage; familiarity with health screenings and patient education programs is beneficial.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends or shifts as needed, and to contribute positively to a team-oriented, fast-paced environment.
