Your Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed quantity take-offs, cost estimates, budgets, and tender submissions for engineering and construction projects.
- Perform cost analysis for civil, infrastructure, process plant, and industrial facility projects.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, procurement teams, and clients to develop accurate and competitive project estimates.
- Source, evaluate, and negotiate quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
- Monitor project costs, budgets, and cash flow throughout the project lifecycle.
- Identify cost-saving and value engineering opportunities while maintaining quality and safety standards.
- Prepare cost reports, financial forecasts, variation orders, and management reports.
- Support contract administration, claims evaluation, and change order management.
- Stay updated on construction market trends, material pricing, and industry regulations.
- Mentor and support junior engineers and estimators where required.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years' experience in quantity surveying and estimation for civil or construction projects, preferably within the palm oil downstream, process plant, industrial, or EPCC environment.
- Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, cost estimation, and budgeting.
- Experience using industry-standard estimating software and Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong analytical, numerical, and commercial acumen.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
- Well-organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- A proactive mindset with strong problem-solving skills and a continuous improvement approach.
