About the role

AP Rentals Limited is seeking an experienced and dedicated Assistant Safety & Training Manager to join our team. In this full-time position, you will be responsible for supporting the delivery of comprehensive safety and training programmes to ensure the wellbeing and professional development of our employees.

What you'll be doing

• Assist in the development and implementation of safety policies, procedures and training programmes to promote a strong safety culture

• Conduct regular safety inspections, audits and risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential hazards

• Provide on-site safety supervision and guidance to ensure compliance with relevant health and safety regulations

• Deliver engaging training sessions covering a range of safety and machinery operational topics

• Maintain accurate records and documentation related to safety and training activities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement in safety performance

• Handle ad hoc projects as assigned

What we're looking for

• Relevant qualifications in Occupational Health and Safety or a related field

• Minimum 5 years' experience in a safety or training role, preferably within the construction industry with related machinery

• Recognized by Labour Department as Registered Safety Officer is a plus

• Possess Certificate for Lifting Safety Supervisors and Certificates for Construction Safety Supervisors is an advantage

• Strong understanding of health and safety regulations and best practices

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with employees at all levels

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team to achieve safety and training objectives

• A proactive and detail-oriented approach to problem-solving

• Less experience will be considered for the position of Safety & Training Officer
