About the Company
Guangdong Intercity O&M Sdn Bhd is the Operation & Maintenance (O&M) provider for the West Section of the East Coast Rail Link (ECRL) — Malaysia's flagship 665 km rail infrastructure connecting Port Klang to Kelantan. As ECRL moves toward its 2027 operational launch, our finance team plays a critical role in ensuring the operational readiness of this nation-building project.

Key Responsibilities Requirements
1. Full Set Accounts & Reporting: Handle the full set of accounts and closing; prepare local profit and loss statements, balance sheets and cash flow statements, as well as reports required under the parent company's reporting framework; promptly investigate and report accounting discrepancies and unusual movements in financial indicators.
2. Treasury & Working Capital: Perform bank reconciliations; manage petty cash and account reconciliations; follow up on accounts receivable and review payments; support cash planning, payment approvals and cash flow management.
3. Costing & Fixed Assets: Account for manpower costs, project costs and fixed assets; complete cost allocation, accruals, amortisation and depreciation, and maintain the fixed asset register; provide supporting data for cost analysis and budget performance monitoring.
4. Tax & Statutory Compliance: Perform routine tax computations and accruals and prepare filing documentation; manage the end-to-end e-Invoice process, and support CIT, SST, WHT, stamp duty, PCB and other statutory filings and payments.
5. Documentation & Compliance Liaison: Maintain proper finance records; support internal and external audits, tax inspections and other compliance activities; liaise with relevant local authorities and professional service providers, monitor changes in Malaysian tax and finance policies, and promptly flag compliance risks.
Requirements
1.Minimum qualification: Diploma/Degree; qualifications in Finance, Accounting, Financial Management, Auditing or a related field are preferred. ACCA, CPA or MIA qualification/membership is an added advantage.
2. At least 5 years of finance, accounting or finance operations experience in Malaysia. Able to independently handle a full set of accounts, with hands-on experience in month-end closing, financial statement preparation, bank reconciliation, cash flow management and annual audit support. Familiarity with MFRS or IFRS is required.
3. Sound knowledge of day-to-day finance operations and statutory compliance requirements in Malaysia, with experience liaising with auditors, tax agents, bankers and company secretaries. Hands-on experience in CIT, SST and e-Invoice matters is an added advantage.
4. Proficient in accounting software, with hands-on experience in at least one of the following: AutoCount, ICS, SQL Account or QNE. Proficient in Excel for day-to-day data processing and financial analysis.
5. Proficient in Mandarin and English, with the ability to communicate effectively with local parties and Group Headquarters. Ability to communicate in Bahasa Malaysia is an added advantage.
6. High level of integrity, responsibility and confidentiality; detail-oriented, able to resolve issues independently, and capable of meeting deadlines for month-end closing, statutory submission preparation and audit support.
