Kitchen Helper – Job Responsibilities

• Assist chefs and cooks with daily kitchen operations.

• Wash, peel, cut, chop, slice, and prepare ingredients.

• Assist with basic food preparation, portioning, plating, and simple cooking tasks.

• Wash and sanitize dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment.

• Keep kitchen workstations, preparation areas, floors, and storage areas clean and organized.

• Receive, unpack, check, and store food supplies properly.

• Arrange and restock ingredients and kitchen supplies when needed.

• Check food items for freshness and ensure proper storage and labeling.

• Follow food safety, hygiene, and workplace safety procedures.

• Dispose of garbage and maintain cleanliness throughout the shift.

• Assist the kitchen team during busy service periods.

• Prepare and pack takeaway orders when required.

• Operate kitchen equipment safely according to instructions.

• Assist with stock rotation and report low or damaged supplies to the supervisor.

• Perform other kitchen-related duties assigned by the Chef or Supervisor.
