Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Procurement Assistant role based in Rawang. The Procurement Assistant will support daily purchasing activities, including preparing, reviewing, and processing purchase orders in line with company policies and project requirements. The role involves coordinating with suppliers and internal stakeholders to obtain quotations, confirm delivery schedules, and ensure timely supply of materials and services. The Procurement Assistant will assist in maintaining procurement records, tracking orders, and updating databases and reports for inventory and cost control. Day-to-day responsibilities also include analyzing pricing and supplier performance, resolving basic discrepancies or issues, and contributing to continuous improvement of procurement processes.
Qualifications
  • Candidates should possess strong purchasing and procurement skills, including experience with supplier coordination and basic sourcing activities.
  • Candidates should possess hands-on experience with preparing, processing, and tracking purchase orders.
  • Candidates should possess solid analytical skills to compare prices, evaluate quotations, and support cost-effective purchasing decisions.
  • Candidates should possess clear and professional communication skills for liaising with vendors, internal teams, and management.
  • Relevant diploma or degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field is preferred.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with procurement or ERP systems is an advantage.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Prior experience in industrial, construction, or engineering-related procurement is an added benefit.
