Key Responsibilities

Supervise daily roll forming operations (uncoiling, levelling, forming, in-line punching/notching if equipped, cutting-to-length) to achieve production targets, quality standards, and on-time delivery for both small-batch and volume orders.

Plan and execute tooling setups, roll tooling changeovers, adjustments, and first-off approvals efficiently to minimise downtime in a mixed-model environment.

Allocate manpower, prioritise jobs, and coordinate material flow with planning, laser/punch, press brake, and welding sections.

Monitor process parameters, dimensional accuracy, surface quality, and material yield; implement corrective actions promptly for defects (twist, bow, springback, edge waviness, etc.).

Enforce SOPs, work instructions, and quality control checks (including first-piece, in-process, and final inspection).

Drive safety compliance, lock-out/tag-out, PPE usage, and risk assessments specific to coil handling, rotating machinery, and cut-off systems.

Train, coach, and develop operators and setters; maintain discipline, attendance, and a high-performance team culture.

Maintain accurate production records, downtime logs, scrap reports, and performance metrics; participate in daily production meetings and continuous improvement (lean/5S/Kaizen) activities.

Support new product trials, tooling commissioning, and process validation for new profiles or materials (especially stainless steel and aluminium).

Ensure 5S standards and a clean, organised workplace that supports rapid changeovers and visual management.

Requirements

SPm or Diploma or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field (Trade Certificate / Tool & Die experience is an advantage).

Minimum 3–5 years hands-on experience in roll forming / profile forming operations

Strong practical knowledge of roll forming principles, roll tooling design/setup, material behaviour (mild steel, stainless steel, aluminium), springback compensation, and troubleshooting common defects.

Experience in mixed-model / flexible production environments (frequent changeovers, small-to-medium batches + volume runs) preferred.

Proven ability to lead teams, train operators, and drive safety & productivity.

Willing to work shifts and support overtime as production demands require.
