Responsibilities

Company Overview

We are seeking a meticulous and dedicated Project Engineer to assist in managing daily site operations, driving technical execution, and contributing to our project success.

Key Responsibilities

1. Project Coordination & Support

  • Assist the Project Manager in the daily management of construction projects, ensuring alignment with approved schedules, budgets, and designs.
  • Coordinate and monitor the work of subcontractors and suppliers to ensure strict compliance with project specifications and timelines.
  • Review and ensure the technical accuracy of project drawings, plans, and construction documents.

2. Quality Assurance & Control

  • Conduct regular site inspections to monitor quality, adherence to technical specifications, and compliance with safety regulations.
  • Resolve technical issues that arise during the construction phase swiftly and provide practical solutions to prevent project delays.
  • Implement and enforce quality control procedures on-site to maintain the highest standards of work.

3. Documentation & Reporting

  • Prepare and maintain accurate project records, including progress reports, site diaries, and necessary project documentation.
  • Track and report any changes to the scope of work, ensuring changes are properly documented and communicated to all relevant parties.
  • Assist in preparing and submitting reports to the Project Manager, clients, and stakeholders, highlighting progress, challenges, and upcoming milestones.

4. Problem-Solving & Technical Support

  • Provide technical support and guidance to construction teams, addressing any engineering or design-related issues directly on-site.
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, and designers to implement changes or adjustments to plans as required during construction.
  • Coordinate the resolution of any technical challenges with relevant parties to minimize project disruptions.

Job Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 to 4 years of experience as a Project Engineer or in a similar role within the construction industry, with a strong preference for experience in hotel, commercial, or residential developments.
  • Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of construction processes, materials, techniques, and the ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
  • Software Proficiency: Proficient in Microsoft Office and AutoCAD.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, strong verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Certifications: Any additional certifications related to construction management or engineering will be an added advantage.
