Responsibilities

Job Summary

Deliver engaging Mathematics and/or Science lessons to Primary and Secondary students, preparing them for school assessments and national exams. Adapt teaching methods to diverse learning needs and collaborate with academic teams to support student development.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging and effective Mathematics and/or Science lessons to Primary and Secondary students to enhance understanding and performance
  • Plan and prepare teaching materials aligned with the Singapore MOE syllabus and tailored to students’ learning needs
  • Prepare students for school assessments and national examinations, including PSLE and GCE O-Level, ensuring readiness and confidence
  • Identify students’ strengths and areas for improvement and provide targeted guidance and academic support
  • Monitor students’ academic progress and deliver regular, constructive feedback to students and parents
  • Adapt teaching methods and lesson materials to accommodate different learning abilities and academic levels for optimal student engagement
  • Maintain a positive, supportive, and well-managed classroom environment conducive to learning
  • Collaborate closely with other teachers and the academic team on curriculum planning, teaching resources, and student development initiatives
  • Participate actively in academic meetings, training sessions, and other centre activities as required

Preferred competencies and qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Mathematics, Science, Engineering, Education, or a related discipline
  • Minimum 2 years of Mathematics and/or Science teaching experience in Singapore preferred
  • Good understanding of the Singapore MOE curriculum and local school assessment requirements
  • Experience teaching Primary and/or Secondary Mathematics or Science in tuition centres, enrichment centres, or school environments preferred
  • Ability to explain concepts clearly and adapt teaching approaches according to students’ learning needs
  • Strong communication, classroom management, and interpersonal skills
  • Responsible, patient, and committed to supporting students’ academic progress
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within an academic team
