JOB SUMMARY
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
1. Parent Engagement and Pastoral Support
- Act as a key point of contact for parents, providing guidance, reassurance and ongoing support.
- Support families in understanding the school’s ethos, values, routines, policies and expectations.
- Assist parents in navigating school systems including reporting, assessment, behaviour expectations, homework and pastoral support.
- Support parents in understanding how to support their child’s learning, independence and wellbeing at home.
- Identify families who may be experiencing challenges in settling into the school community and provide appropriate support or signposting.
2. Admissions and Onboarding Support
- Provide clear and accurate information to prospective families regarding the school’s curriculum, ethos and admissions process.
- Support admissions enquiries through meetings, phone calls, email and online communication platforms.
- Conduct or support school tours for prospective families.
- Assist families with admissions documentation and processes.
- Support the organisation and coordination of admissions assessments and interviews.
- Communicate application outcomes clearly and support timely follow up.
- Support welcoming and onboarding processes for new families to ensure a smooth transition into the school.
3. Communication and Language Support
- Support clear, consistent and culturally sensitive communication between parents and the school.
- Act as a translator during meetings, discussions and events where language support is required.
- Support the translation or explanation of key school documents, policies and communications.
- Support parents in understanding school communication platforms and channels.
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism when handling sensitive or personal information.
4. Cultural Mediation and Community Engagement
- Support families in understanding cultural norms and expectations within an international school context.
- Support staff in understanding cultural perspectives that may influence parent engagement and expectations.
- Contribute to parent information sessions, workshops and community events.
- Support initiatives that strengthen parent engagement and foster a sense of belonging within the school community.
5. Data, Systems and Collaboration
- Maintain accurate records of parent interactions, enquiries and admissions related data.Ensure admissions and parent engagement processes are followed in line with school policies and procedures.
- Provide feedback and reports to school leaders on emerging trends, challenges or support needs.
- Work collaboratively with school leaders, teachers, pastoral staff and admissions teams.
- Represent the school professionally in parent facing and community events.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Experience working with parents, families or within an education or community focused role.
- High level of cultural sensitivity and empathy.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive matters professionally.
- Fluency in Mandarin is an advantage.
- Experience working in a school or international education setting.
- Understanding of British or international curriculum frameworks.
- Experience supporting families new to a country or education system.

Pay: RM5,000.00 - RM6,500.00 per month
