Responsibilities

What The Role Is

The Leadership Development & Strategy Cluster oversees the Leadership and Talent Development policies and approaches at the Public Service level. We aim to achieve the following key outcomes:

  • Effective and high-performing leaders and leadership teams that deliver with excellence today and innovate for tomorrow
  • Leadership Corps with greater diversity in experiences, skillsets & perspectives
  • Leadership community that is united though a common purpose, identity and values

    These key outcomes guide the way that we identify, develop and engage senior leaders and leadership talents across the Public Service. We do so in close partnership with internal and external stakeholders such as our training partner, the Civil Service College, the HR community and leaders across the Public Service.

What You Will Be Working On

[Specific Job Responsibilities]

You will be part of the team that oversees policies and frameworks relating to board of directorships within the Public Service. Some of your key responsibilities are:

  • Maintain a database of candidates suitable for board appointments, which includes exploring and recommending suitable technological solutions to do so.
  • Perform Board Secretariat functions, which includes end-to-end processing board appointments/re-appointments in accordance with prevailing guidelines.
  • Administer the end-to-end processing of board related training interventions.
  • Administer the end-to-end processing of board fees in accordance with prevailing guidelines, which includes the timely and accurate annual fee disbursement to officers, and liaising with Board Secretariats of agencies/companies and internal stakeholders to resolve fees-related queries and discrepancies (if any).

An ideal candidate should possess the following:

  • Able to manage large volumes of information with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Effective team player who can work independently in a fast-paced environment, and under tight timelines.
  • Takes pride in going the extra mile to achieve shared outcomes and provide excellent service.
  • Able to consider and integrate different perspectives to make sound and timely recommendations.
  • Strong communication (written and verbal) skills, able to build positive relationships and rapport with stakeholders, and identify possible collaboration areas with them.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and comfortable working with databases.
  • Familiarity with board and board secretariat functions are an added advantage.
  • At least 2 years of working experience in the field of recruitment/HR management or compliance/corporate governance.
