RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Assist the HSE Officer / HSE Coordinator in promoting safety, health, and environmental awareness within the fabrication workshop.

2. Monitor daily shop-floor activities to ensure compliance with HSE rules, procedures, and safe work practices.

3. Conduct routine safety observations and report unsafe acts, unsafe conditions, and near-miss incidents to the HSE Officer / HSE Coordinator.

4. Support the implementation of safety plans, risk assessments (HIRARC), and safe work procedures for fabrication activities.

5. Assist in organizing and conducting toolbox meetings, safety briefings, and daily safety talks as scheduled.

6. Promote proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and ensure PPE compliance among workers.

7. Assist in safety inspections of tools, equipment, machinery, and work areas, and help follow up on corrective actions.

8. Encourage workers to report hazards, incidents, and unsafe conditions through the company reporting system.

9. Support HSE campaigns, safety promotions, safety days, and other HSE-related programs organized by the company.

10. Assist in incident and accident investigations by collecting basic information, photographs, and witness statements when required.

11. Help maintain HSE records such as inspection checklists, toolbox attendance, and safety observation reports.

12. Support emergency preparedness activities including drills, evacuation exercises, and spill response practices.

13. Promote housekeeping and 5S practices to maintain a clean, safe, and organized fabrication workshop.

14. Comply with and support the implementation of company policies, procedures, and requirements under the Quality Management System (QMS) and HSE Management System.

15. Carry out any other HSE-related duties as assigned by the HSE Officer / HSE Coordinator or Management.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENT & EXPERIENCE

Education - 1) Diploma in Occupational Safety and Health .

Work experience - 1) Not required and open to entry level

Competencies requirement-

A. Technical knowledge/skill :

1. Basic knowledge of occupational safety and health practices, particularly for fabrication and workshop activities (hot work, lifting, machinery, PPE).

2. Familiarity with HSE procedures such as toolbox meetings, safety inspections, hazard identification, and incident reporting.

3. Ability to recognize common fabrication hazards such as noise, fumes, sharp edges, moving machinery, and improper housekeeping.

B. Soft Skill

1. Good communication and interpersonal skills to effectively promote safety awareness and influence safe behaviour among workers.

2. Basic reporting and documentation skills for safety observations, toolbox attendance, and inspection records.

C. Ability / attitude

1. Positive safety attitude with strong commitment to compliance, teamwork, and continuous improvement in workplace safety.

1. Have reasonably good health to undertake a certain degree of stress and pressure

2. Have able to work extra hours to meet deadline as and when required
