Role Description The Accounts Assistant is a full-time, on-site role based in Selangor, Malaysia, supporting day-to-day finance and accounting operations for the hotel. Responsibilities include processing invoices, handling petty cash transactions, maintaining accurate financial records, and assisting with credit control activities such as monitoring outstanding payments. The role involves preparing basic financial reports, reconciling accounts, and ensuring compliance with internal policies and relevant financial procedures. The Accounts Assistant collaborates closely with the finance team and other departments, provides clear communication on payment and billing matters, and supports month-end closing activities and audits as needed. This position requires attention to detail, reliability, and a commitment to maintaining organized and timely financial documentation.
Qualifications

  • Strong accounting and finance skills, including basic bookkeeping, invoice processing, and account reconciliation.
  • Experience with credit control activities such as tracking receivables and following up on outstanding payments.
  • Ability to manage petty cash, maintain accurate records, and follow internal control procedures.
  • Effective communication skills to interact with internal teams, vendors, and other stakeholders in a professional manner.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office applications, particularly Excel.
  • Relevant diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
  • Previous experience in hospitality or a similar service-oriented environment is an advantage.
  • High level of integrity, attention to detail, and ability to work independently as well as in a team.
