Job Overview

The EHS Specialist supports the implementation and maintenance of the site's Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) management system, ensuring compliance with company standards and Singapore regulatory requirements.

Acting as a Workplace Safety and Health Officer (WSHO), the role provides guidance to stakeholders on workplace safety matters and supports key EHS areas including occupational safety, biosafety, process safety, and regulatory compliance.

Job Responsibilities

• Support the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of the EHS management system, procedures, and programmes.
• Ensure compliance with Singapore EHS legislation and maintain the site legal register.
• Provide guidance and support to stakeholders on workplace safety and health matters.
• Organise and conduct EHS training programmes to promote a strong safety culture.
• Coordinate monthly safety, health, environmental, and fire safety meetings.
• Assist in the investigation of workplace incidents, injuries, and occupational illnesses.
• Conduct workplace safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments.
• Identify potential hazards and recommend appropriate control measures.
• Monitor updates to EHS regulations and industry best practices.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders including Manufacturing, Engineering & Supply Chain, and Quality Control / Development Services laboratories.
• Perform other EHS-related duties as assigned by management.

Job Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, or a related discipline.
• Mandatory WSH Level C certification recognised by the Ministry of Manpower (MOM).
• 1–4 years of EHS experience
• Good understanding of Singapore EHS regulations, including Workplace Safety and Health Act (WSHA), Environmental Protection and Management Act, and Fire Safety Act.
• Experience in risk assessments, hazard identification, and workplace safety practices is preferred.
