Job Summary

Support research and strategic initiatives by conducting thorough analysis of business, trade, and economic topics. Assist in preparing reports, marketing content, and event coordination to promote knowledge sharing and member engagement.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct research on business, trade, economic, policy, SME, and industry topics using academic journals, government publications, and credible industry reports to inform strategic initiatives
  • Collect, compile, analyse, and interpret qualitative and quantitative data to support research projects and policy development
  • Assist in preparing academic papers, research reports, policy briefs, presentations, and other publications to communicate findings effectively
  • Design surveys and analyse member feedback to generate actionable insights and prepare visual materials such as charts, graphs, and infographics
  • Conduct market research, benchmarking studies, and industry analyses while monitoring economic, regulatory, and policy developments affecting businesses
  • Maintain research databases, publications, and reference materials ensuring data accuracy and confidentiality
  • Create marketing content for newsletters, social media, website, email campaigns, and promotional materials to enhance member engagement
  • Support planning, promotion, and execution of research projects, seminars, conferences, networking sessions, business forums, and knowledge-sharing initiatives
  • Liaise with internal departments and external stakeholders to coordinate research, marketing, and event activities
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Management to support organisational goals

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, Social Sciences, or related discipline
  • Strong research, analytical, and academic writing skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Strong organisational and time management skills with attention to detail to manage multiple tasks effectively
  • Ability to prepare professional reports and presentation materials independently
  • Familiarity with statistical or data visualisation tools such as Power BI, Tableau, SPSS, or Python is an added advantage
  • Proficiency in AI productivity tools like ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot, or Gemini is an added advantage.
