Your new role

• Act as a key first-line risk partner, supporting the implementation and enhancement of operational and regulatory risk frameworks.
• Identify process gaps, control weaknesses, and emerging risks, while driving practical and sustainable remediation solutions.
• Conduct risk assessments, control reviews, root cause analyses, and independent gap assessments against regulatory expectations and industry events.
• Review policies, procedures, and operating manuals to ensure alignment with internal governance standards and regulatory requirements.
• Partner with stakeholders across Front Office, Operations, Compliance, Legal, Technology, and Information Security to strengthen controls and governance.
• Support information security and entitlement governance activities, including incident analysis and segregation of duties reviews.
• Coordinate risk governance committees and contribute to senior management reporting on regulatory developments, operational incidents, and key risk themes.
• Translate complex regulatory requirements into effective and practical business controls.

What you'll need to succeed

• 3+ years of experience in Operational Risk, Regulatory Risk, Business Controls, Risk Governance, or related functions within banking or wealth management.
  
• Strong understanding of regulatory and operational risk frameworks within financial services.
  
• Knowledge of HKMA, SFC and/or MAS regulatory requirements and supervisory expectations.
  
• Experience performing risk assessments, control testing, gap analysis, and remediation initiatives.
  
• Strong project management and stakeholder management capabilities.
