Data Migration Architect (Banking) / Enterprise Data Migration ($75k UP)

Role Overview

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Data Architect (Banking) to spearhead a major Core Banking Transformation & System Migration program. In this high-impact role, you will govern end-to-end data architecture, ensure zero data loss during system transitions, and lead enterprise data governance and database strategy.

Key Responsibilities

• Data Architecture & Transformation Strategy: Lead the full lifecycle of end-to-end data architecture planning, design, iteration, and implementation oversight. Ensure full data consistency, eliminate data silos, and unify banking data standards during core system transitions.
• Database Engineering Expertise: Act as the enterprise expert across mainstream banking database engines (such as Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, distributed banking databases, and optional DB2), ensuring robust physical design, performance tuning, and high availability.
• Migration & Cutover Execution: Develop comprehensive data migration roadmaps, cutover schemes, and rule specifications covering full migration, incremental synchronization, and historical data archiving.
• Real-Time Data Integration & CDC: Design enterprise-level data integration architecture across core banking, peripheral systems, middleware, and data warehouses, utilizing Change Data Capture (CDC) to capture real-time legacy changes.
• Master Data Management (MDM) & Governance: Build enterprise-level MDM systems (customer, account, product, and organizational master data), define data asset ownership frameworks, establish data stewardship accountability, and maintain a unified enterprise data dictionary.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's degree or above in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Financial Technology, or a related technical discipline.
• Experience: 8+ years of overall data architecture experience, with a minimum of 3+ years dedicated to end-to-end data architecture within large-scale core banking systems.
• Technical Mastery: Deep proficiency in banking database migration, cross-database compatibility, transaction management, disaster recovery design, and data integrity validation mechanisms.
• Governance & Standards: Strong command of master data management, financial data governance, and regulatory compliance requirements. Professional certifications in Data Architecture, Data Governance, or Enterprise Architecture (TOGAF, CDM, etc.) are highly preferred.
• Security & Risk Awareness: Thorough understanding of financial data security, privacy compliance regulations, and banking data sensitivity.
• Communication & Collaboration: Excellent team player with a proactive attitude toward solving technical challenges. Fluent in written and spoken English; Cantonese proficiency is a strong plus.
