Job Description

Responsibilities

About GreenSketch

GreenSketch is the digital platform business within OSW Group. It is the operating system installers design, quote and transact on, sitting on top of a distribution business backed by a network of 19,000 installers, with embedded finance underneath and a consumer layer in build. Our North Star is engagement rather than units shipped, measured through Monthly Active Platform Participants.

The business is scaling quickly and building out its leadership and core capability. It is currently supported by the wider group People team on a shared basis, without a dedicated partner embedded in the business.

Role purpose

GreenSketch requires a senior People partner who can operate alongside the CEO, develop a genuine understanding of the business’s commercial objectives, and translate those objectives into the talent, structure and capability required to achieve them. The mandate is as much to build the People function as to run it.

The business has grown quickly, and its People foundations remain light relative to its trajectory. A core part of the role is to establish them: hiring, onboarding, performance, capability development, and the operating rhythm that sustains them.

The immediate priority is the initial capability build; the senior and specialist appointments on which the business plan depends. You will own these hires directly, including direct sourcing where the market requires it. As the leadership team is established, the emphasis shifts toward business partnering, organisation design and capability development, with recruitment settling to a steady cadence.

The role will suit a self-directed practitioner who forms a view, brings recommendations to the CEO rather than awaiting direction, and takes a genuine commercial interest in the business alongside its People agenda.

Key responsibilities

  • Act as the People partner to the GreenSketch CEO and leadership team, contributing to commercial and growth discussions and advising on the talent, structure and capability implications of the decisions taken
  • Translate the business plan into a workforce plan such as the roles required, the sequence in which they are needed, the cost of delivering them, and where capability should be built rather than acquired
  • Lead the initial capability build: define, assess and appoint the senior and specialist hires on which the business plan depends, sourcing directly where the market requires it
  • Establish the People foundations for the business, including hiring, onboarding, performance, development and the supporting documentation and tooling, and embed them as a consistent operating rhythm
  • Advise on organisation design as the business scales, covering structure, role clarity, spans of control and the interfaces between product, engineering and commercial teams
  • Build leadership capability across the management population, with particular focus on first-time leaders, in performance management, development and difficult conversations
  • Own engagement and retention for the business, identifying risk in critical roles and acting on it before it becomes attrition
  • Manage employee relations and ensure compliance with Singapore employment requirements, alongside the group framework in other markets where GreenSketch employs
  • Provide the CEO with reliable People data and analysis on headcount, cost, hiring progress and attrition to support business decision-making
  • Partner with the Group Chief People Officer to align GreenSketch practice with group levelling, reward and policy frameworks and to make the case where the business has a genuine need to differ

Candidate profile

Essential

  • 8-10+ years of HR experience, including senior business partnering to a CEO, founder or business unit leader
  • Demonstrated experience building People foundations in an environment where they were still developing - designing hiring, onboarding and performance frameworks from first principles, and operating effectively as a sole practitioner
  • Proven capability in senior and executive appointments, spanning role definition, assessment, direct approach and close
  • Commercially oriented, with the ability to interpret a business plan, question it constructively, and connect talent decisions to business outcomes rather than HR process
  • Self-directed, setting the agenda independently and bringing recommendations rather than requests for direction
  • Credible with a CEO and senior leaders, with the confidence to hold a position and challenge constructively
  • Experience partnering technology, product or commercial teams in a fast-scaling environment
  • Strong working knowledge of Singapore employment legislation, with exposure to at least one additional market
  • Comfortable operating across the full range of the role, from a leadership appointment to the operational detail

Desirable

  • Experience in a platform, marketplace, SaaS or high-growth consumer business
  • Regional exposure across APAC or wider international markets
  • Experience within a group or multi-entity structure alongside a central People function
  • Familiarity with AI tooling in sourcing or People operations
  • Experience supporting distributed or offshore engineering teams

Why this role

  • A genuine build mandate: design the People foundations for a scaling platform business rather than administering someone else’s framework
  • Direct line to the CEO, with real influence over how the business is structured and staffed
  • Ownership of the leadership appointments that shape the business at its most formative stage
  • The backing of a group platform, a 19,000-installer network and embedded finance behind the products you hire for
