Key Activities:
1) Design and implementation of Linux infrastructures
- Design, installation and configuration of Linux servers (physical, virtual, cloud)
- Architecture design for high availability, scalability and security
2) Advanced administration & 3rd-level support
- Operation and maintenance of complex RHEL Linux environments
- Incident analysis and root cause analysis for complex technical issues
- Performance analysis and tuning (CPU, memory, I/O, network)
3) Automation & configuration management
- Development of automation scripts and tools (e.g. shell, Python, Ansible)
- Building standardized deployment, patching and release processes
4) Networking & virtualization
- Network configuration (IP, routing, VLANs, firewall, DNS, NTP, load balancing)
- Integration with virtualization and cloud platforms (e.g. VMware)
5) Security, compliance & hardening
- Implementation of hardening guidelines and security best practices
- Patch and vulnerability management in close cooperation with security teams
- Logging, auditing and integration with SIEM solutions
Education:
- University of Applied Sciences or equivalent professional experience
- At least 5 years of professional experience
- Experience in IT operations; has own responsibility for systems and/or complex processes
Essential Skills:
- Ability to design, create, and modify CI/CD pipelines using tools such as TeamCity, Jenkins, and others. must have
- Ability to design and implement new technological solutions to meet business and technical requirements.
- Linux systems Knowledge is required (disk management, process handling, package management, network interfaces) must have
- Programming Vendor APIs such as Red Hat Satellite API, Azure, GCP or VMware APIs, MS Defender for Endpoint Linux would be a plus point but not important.
- Ability to code and understand Ansible’s YAML and JINJA templates.
- Use configuration management tools like Red Hat Ansible to automate routine tasks must have
- Solid understanding of containerization and CI/CD pipelining concepts and tools.
- Understanding and worked with lifecycle management, code testing and Version Control System.
- Familiar in interacting, configuring Red Hat Suite (RHEL, Ansible, Openshift)
- Ability to write Python and have good understanding of Git.
- Strong ability to read, understand, write, investigate, and debug code effectively.
- Understanding of Software architectures (example monolith, N-tier)
- Plan and deploy all RHEL application servers in production based on the defined processes
- Proficient in understanding and working with HTTP web servers and APIs.
- Design and code complex ansible workflows with multiple nodes and nested structure.
- Cloud Technology Knowledge, (RHEL on Azure, GCP and Google BMS).
- Good understanding of security topics, including IAM, Linux security features, permissions, and SSH keys.
- Perform active maintenance and updates on production systems. You will provide 2nd / 3rd level support, escalating complex issues to senior engineers (3rd level) while learning to troubleshoot system errors.
- Assist and contribute ideas in planning and deploying RHEL application servers in production with other engineers, following established team processes and standards.
