Trade support specialist  (Maternity cover for 9 months) - this role plays a critical role within the Trading team, providing comprehensive operational and administrative support to traders to ensure the seamless execution of international commodity trading transactions.

Job Responsibility:

• Commercial contract drafting and terms negotiations.
• Letter of credit issuance, document presentations and negotiations.
• Liaise with banks and internal finance department to execute trade finance for physical shipments and Forex hedges.
• Post shipment settlements.
• Ensure integrity of management information provided to Finance and Risk for reporting purpose.
• Support an outstanding control environment as well as develop and implement new initiatives.

Requirements:

• Minimum bachelor’s degree.
• Fluent in both written and spoken English and Mandarin to effectively communicate and liaise with English- and Mandarin-speaking stakeholders.
• Good knowledge of trade finance, UCP600, ISBP, bulk commodities trading operations would be advantageous.
• Minimum2 years of relevant experience in trade support function, experience in bulk commodities, ores and palm oil experienced preferred.
• Attention to detail and ability work within short timeline.
• Ability to priorities and deploy strategy to handle multiple issues according to the situation.
• Able to work as team as well as independently.
• Ability to communicate effectively with partners and peers.
• Excellent Microsoft Office skills
• Coding knowledge is added advantage.
