Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Lawyer role based in Selangor, Malaysia. The Lawyer will advise clients on corporate, M&A, and capital markets matters, draft and review transactional documents, and prepare legal opinions and memoranda. The role involves attending client meetings, negotiating contract terms, and helping structure transactions in line with Malaysian law and relevant international regulations.
Qualifications

  • Strong skills in corporate and commercial law, including experience with mergers and acquisitions and capital markets work is an advantage.
  • Ability to draft, review, and negotiate contracts, transactional documents, and corporate advisory documentation.
  • Proficiency in legal research, analysis of statutes and case law, and preparation of clear, well-structured legal opinions.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) or equivalent from a recognized institution; admission to practice law in Malaysia is required.
  • Prior experience in a corporate or capital markets practice, especially with IPOs or cross-border transactions, is an advantage
  • Proficiency in English; additional language skills (e.g., Mandarin or Cantonese) are beneficial
