The Supply Chain Management Executive plays a vital role in supporting the Shipment planning and coordination within the organization. This role is accountable for managing forwarders and collaborate with supply chain stakeholders to deliver the results.
Responsibilities
Shipment Planning and Coordination
Work with internal stakeholders and external vendors for arranging of shipment
Coordinate pickup and delivery schedules
Consolidate shipments to optimize costs
Maintain Master Shipment tracker report for internal stakeholders’ visibility
Provide status updates to internal teams or customers
Handle delivery delays or exceptions
Resolve shipment issues (damage, loss, delays)
Carrier and Vendor Management
Negotiate rates with freight forwarders, shipping lines, trucking companies
Maintain relationships with logistics vendors
Evaluate vendor performance (cost, service level, reliability)
Identify alternative carriers to reduce risk
Documentation and Compliance
Prepare and review shipping documents
Ensure compliance with customs regulations, import/export laws, trade agreements
Coordinate customs clearance processes
Requirements
Preferably at least 3 to 5 years working experience in warehouse operations or 3PL Management
Ability to grasp and perform complex rules based tasks in a consistent manner
Ability to work swiftly and accurately, even when under time pressure
Good communication skills, interpersonal skills and detail oriented
