Role Description The Project Engineer is a full-time hybrid role based in Jurong East, with flexibility for some work-from-home arrangements. This role involves planning, coordinating, and executing electrical infrastructure projects from design through commissioning, ensuring compliance with technical specifications, safety standards, and project timelines. Day-to-day responsibilities include developing project plans, reviewing engineering drawings, preparing technical documentation, and supporting procurement and vendor coordination. The Project Engineer will monitor project progress, manage risks and issues, and collaborate with internal teams, external partners, and clients to ensure successful delivery. The role also includes site visits, participation in technical meetings, and continuous improvement of project processes and engineering practices.

Job Description

• Coordinate and support site for installation, testing, and commissioning works.
• To monitor site work status and progress; maintain project schedule by monitoring project progress and quality standards; carry out site inspections and resolve technical issues and problems on time.
• To provide technical support & project progress reports
• To prepare documents for submission and maintain the filing system for projects.
• Project coordination with Clients, equipment vendors, and sub-contractors for all project activities
• Preparation of Method of Statement, Risk Assessments, conduct the technical evaluation for various installation works.
• To prepare and monitor inspection and test plan.
• To initiate and undertake action to prevent the occurrence of non-conformity.
• To be involved in the Company's ISO activities.

Qualifications

• Strong Communication skills, including the ability to present technical information clearly and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and clients.
• Proficiency in Project Management and Project Planning to manage scope, schedule, budget, and quality across multiple concurrent projects.
• Applied experience in Project Engineering, including coordination of design, installation, testing, and commissioning activities.
• Solid foundation in Electrical Engineering, preferably with exposure to transmission and distribution systems (EHV, HV, MV).
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related engineering discipline.
• Experience in utility, power, or infrastructure projects is an advantage.
• Familiarity with relevant industry standards, safety regulations, and grid codes.
• Ability to work independently and in teams, with strong problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills.
• Comfort with hybrid work arrangements and occasional travel to project sites.
