Laboratory Assistant in the School of Biomedical Sciences (Ref.: 536987) (To commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totaling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance.)

Applicants should have 5 passes in HKCEE including English (min. Grade C if Syllabus A/Level 2 from 2007), OR min. Level 2 or equivalent in 5 subjects in HKDSEE including English Language, preferably with at least 1 year’s relevant experience. They should be licensed to operate electrical boiler or be willing to complete necessary courses to obtain the license. Candidates should be self-motivated, quick learners, and able to understand and execute tasks efficiently. They must be capable of working collaboratively within a team as well as independently. The appointee will be responsible for assistance in teaching labs, operation of autoclaves, handling laboratory and clinical waste, maintaining cleanliness in office and laboratory areas, providing courier support, and performing any other duties as assigned. A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits.
