Key ResponsibilitiesCash Flow & Treasury
- Own the daily cash position and 13-week forecast; no payment leaves without passing the priority waterfall.
- Manage statutory obligations with zero tolerance for slippage: EPF, PCB, SST, and etc.
- Plan and ring-fence the deployment of incoming investment: owed wages and statutory trust monies cleared first, per company policy.
Investor Relations & Long-Range Planning
- Build and maintain the 5–10 year integrated financial model and sales projections with the Sales function; own every assumption and be able to defend it line by line.
- Prepare investment materials: financial sections of the pitch deck, historical reconstruction, funds-flow ('use of proceeds') statement, and data room.
- Support the Managing Director in investment meetings and due diligence Q&A.
Manufacturing Accounting
- Rebuild job costing and standard costing for CNC machining: machine-hour rates, tooling consumption, material yield, subcontract costs, and collection recovery.
- Provide margin-by-part and margin-by-customer analysis to support pricing decisions and re-basing negotiations.
- Verify and recompute figures prepared by accounts before anything reaches the MD or external parties.
- Own payroll accuracy, including audit of arrears and correction of legacy payroll errors.
Cross-Functional Coverage (Turnaround Scope)
- Creditor support: prepare cash schedules and repayment capacity analysis behind every supplier standstill negotiation, working with Supply Chain and Legal.
- Payroll and statutory administration: process monthly payroll and EPF/SOCSO/PCB filings.
- Administer the Sales Target Achievement Bonus scheme: targets measured against collection.
- Commercial support: validate cost figures used in customer pricing proposals before external presentation.
- Administrative finance duties (banking, insurance, grant/incentive applications).
Requirements
- Degree in Accounting/Finance; professional qualification (ACCA, CPA, MIA membership) strongly preferred.
- 8+ years accounting experience with a mandatory strong manufacturing accounting background — standard costing, job costing, BOM/routing-based costing, inventory and WIP accounting. Precision machining (aerospace or automotive component experience is a significant advantage).
- Proven financial modelling capability: has personally built multi-year integrated models used for fundraising, banking, or board decisions.
- Direct experience in cash-constrained, turnaround, or distressed environments (Due Diligence or audit exposure) is a strong advantage.
- Advanced Excel is mandatory; familiarity with Malaysian statutory requirements (EPF, SOCSO, PCB, SST) required.
- High integrity, hands-on, dare to say 'no' to spending to all staff including senior managers.
- Fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia; Mandarin an advantage.
