Based at our Hong Kong headquarters and reporting directly to the CEO, this role requires a proactive, structured HR professional to evaluate existing workflows, introduce operational efficiencies, and support group-wide collaboration. The ideal candidate will serve as a consultative partner, proactively identifying administrative needs, evaluating strategic options, and seeking alignment with management. This position is a growth track with the long-term opportunity to advance into a senior HR leadership role as the function becomes systematic and automated.
Key Responsibilities
HR Management & HR Operations
Take full hands-on ownership of daily HK Headquarters HR operations and clerical tasks independently.
Support executive leadership to translate group-level operational goals into coordinated HR actions.
Manage general employee lifecycle administration, contract renewals, attendance tracking, and paperwork.
Recruitment & On-boarding
Manage the end-to-end recruitment process to attract qualified talent that aligns with changing business needs.
Review international office structures to improve group-wide manpower planning and data transparency.
Performance Management & Employee Relations
Provide clear workforce metrics to support timely corporate decision-making.
Foster closer cross-divisional teamwork and support staff through routine process updates with empathy.
Manage general employee relations, grievance handling, conflict resolution, and modern reward framework.
IT Transformation & System Migration
Identify immediate opportunities to automate traditional, paperwork-heavy tasks.
Act as the core operational coordinator for future system migrations and software rollouts.
Compensation & Benefits & Insurance Management
Execute monthly payroll and statutory MPF processing, and staff insurance renewals with high accuracy.
Handle statutory employee compensation claims and work injury tracking in absolute compliance with local regulations.
Strategic HR Projects, Compliance & Reporting
Formulate well-rationalized HR options, drafting policies and SOPs to eliminate bulky administrative workflows, seeking executive advice before rollout.
Coordinate cross-border compliance tracking and regional policy alignments between Hong Kong headquarter and other regions.
Establish regular HR reporting metrics across divisions to support group-wide headcount transparency and operational data flows.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
7 to 10 years of progressive, hands-on Human Resources experience.
Sourcing, trading, or manufacturing sector background is highly valued.
Experience in change management or modernizing traditional structures is a distinct advantage.
Well-versed in the Hong Kong Employment Ordinance and cross-border (HK-Mainland China) operational nuances.
Strong ability to diagnose administrative gaps, structure clear choices.
High emotional intelligence to gain internal stakeholder trust.
A diplomatic team player with strong interpersonal skills and the maturity to handle delicate internal dynamics.
Self-motivated and comfortable operating as a standalone executor in a fast-paced environment.
Good command of written and spoken English, Cantonese, and Mandarin.
Occasional regional travel to manufacturing facilities in Mainland China and Thailand as required.
Candidate with less experience will be considered for the position of Assistant Human Resources Manager.
