Role Overview

JOB DESCRIPTION

Consumer GI Operations supports General Insurance (GI) functions at Income and plays a pivotal role in driving the GI Consumer Business. The team collaborates closely with stakeholders across Underwriting, Policy Servicing, and Claims to deliver efficient, accurate, and customer-centric operations.

As an Executive within the Personal Lines Policy Servicing function, you will contribute to ensuring adherence to underwriting guidelines, accurate policy issuance, and compliance with regulatory requirements. This role requires strong analytical capabilities, attention to detail, and effective communication skills to support operational excellence and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Respond promptly and professionally to enquiries, requests, and feedback from policyholders and intermediaries within stipulated service timelines
  • Conduct underwriting reviews for personal lines insurance applications and renewals, ensuring compliance with underwriting guidelines and risk assessment standards
  • Perform end-to-end policy servicing processes, from case creation through to policy issuance, ensuring accuracy and completeness
  • Verify customer details to maintain up-to-date and accurate policyholder information
  • Manage exception reports, investigate discrepancies, and follow through on required actions in a timely manner
  • Support and participate in projects, system enhancements, and process improvement initiatives aligned with business goals
  • Collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders to ensure seamless service delivery and operational efficiency
  • Undertake ad-hoc tasks and projects as assigned by the Team Lead or Manager

Requirements

  • Degree or Diploma holder
  • Service-oriented with excellent communication, writing, and presentation skills
  • Positive and open mindset when handling complaints and feedback
  • Meticulous with strong analytical and execution abilities
  • Ability to work under tight timelines while maintaining high-quality deliverables
  • Team player who is proactive, takes initiative, and follows through tasks diligently
  • Proficient in MS365 applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
  • 1–2 years of experience in the insurance industry is an added advantage
  • Successful applicants will be required to obtain relevant insurance qualifications (BCP, PGI & ComGI)
