ABOUT THE FSC GROUP

The FSC Group is a specialist food operations consultancy with over 35 years of award-winning experience creating, delivering and managing bespoke food-on-the-move solutions for leading brands worldwide. We partner with blue-chip clients including Shell (in multiple markets), National Trust, Dunelm and Waterstones, drawing on deep sector expertise to deliver tailored category, operational and consultancy services.

Our work spans nine countries, with offices in the UK, Prague and Kuala Lumpur, anchored by our Head Office in Cheddar and our Innovation Centre near Bristol. We're a B Corp certified, Carbon Neutral business — privately held, self-funded, and genuinely committed to ethical stewardship and ESG in everything we do.

As an Agile Enterprise, our teams work using Scrum frameworks and Agile principles, with leadership rooted in coaching and empowerment. We foster a diverse, equitable and inclusive culture — and we make sure there's a good chunk of fun along the way. No day is the same at FSC.

THE ROLE

You'll own the technical delivery of our Power BI dashboard solutions — from data modelling and DAX development through to publishing, refresh reliability and ongoing maintenance — working closely with our Insights & Analytics team and account managers to turn business requirements into robust, reliable reporting.

You'll champion dashboard quality and consistency across markets, troubleshoot data and refresh issues quickly, and contribute to our Data Science Team's (DST) growing library of reusable measures, templates and best practice — helping the team scale as new markets and clients come on board.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Dashboard development & maintenance (60%)

  • Design, build and maintain Power BI dashboards across multiple markets, from data modelling through to final report design.
  • Develop and maintain DAX measures — WoW/YoY and period-over-period comparisons, product affinity and basket-level analysis, RANKX-based ranking and contribution measures, and dynamic formatting logic.
  • Optimise report and model performance, including query folding, incremental refresh strategy and dataset size management for large or slow-refreshing markets.
  • Maintain visual and structural consistency across dashboards in line with FSC's reporting standards and brand guidelines.
  • Contribute to end-to-end builds of new dashboards for onboarded markets or clients as part of a wider project team.

Data refresh & pipeline reliability (15%)

  • Manage and troubleshoot data refresh issues, including SharePoint-based source connections, gateway and credential errors, and scheduled refresh failures.
  • Proactively monitor dashboard health across markets and resolve issues before they affect stakeholders.
  • Maintain clean, well-documented data sources and queries to reduce recurring refresh problems.

Stakeholder support & ad-hoc reporting (15%)

  • Respond to dashboard build and amendment requests logged through our Data Science Team (DST) ticketing system within agreed turnaround times.
  • Translate business and account manager requirements into clear technical specifications before development begins.
  • Support ad-hoc data and reporting requests from account managers and market leads across the estate.

Data-driven culture & team collaboration (15%)

  • Collaborate with the Insights & Analytics team to ensure dashboards align with underlying data definitions and business logic.
  • Contribute reusable DAX measures, templates and documentation to the team's shared knowledge base.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

  • Malaysian and resides in Malaysia
  • 1-3 years' experience building and maintaining Power BI dashboards in a commercial or analytics environment.
  • Strong hands-on Power BI skills — data modelling, DAX and Power Query (M).
  • Experience contributing to a dashboard build from a raw or unstructured data source through to a finished, stakeholder-facing product — not just editing or maintaining existing reports.
  • Understanding of Power BI refresh architecture, including SharePoint-based sources, gateways and credential management.
  • Strong debugging skills — able to trace and resolve DAX logic errors, data model issues and refresh failures methodically.
  • High attention to detail, particularly for commercially significant figures such as sales, margin and waste data.
  • Able to manage multiple ad-hoc and recurring dashboard requests to tight deadlines across several markets at once.

NICE TO HAVE

  • Power BI certification (e.g. PL-300 or equivalent).
  • Experience in the food industry, particularly FMCG, food-to-go or retail.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft 365 (SharePoint, Teams) for collaborative reporting.
  • Experience working across multiple markets or currencies, or with cross-cultural, cross-functional teams.
  • Exposure to ticketing or capacity-tracking tools (e.g., *************) for managing dashboard request workflows.
  • Basic coding or scripting knowledge (e.g., SQL, Python) — not required day-to-day, but useful as reporting needs grow.
  • Basic awareness of data engineering concepts such as data ingestion, pipelines or data migration.

WHO YOU ARE

  • A brand ambassador who's aligned with FSC's strategy and a visible role model for ESG principles.
  • Great at cross-functional and cross-cultural working — collaborates openly with the Insights & Analytics team, account managers and market teams, adapting style to diverse contexts.
  • A strong communicator, able to translate technical detail into clear explanations for non-technical stakeholders.
  • Organised, with effective prioritisation and time management — manages a varied dashboard workload independently.
  • Comfortable with change and continuous improvement in dashboard design and delivery.
  • Self-motivated, proactive and technically curious — brings solutions rather than waiting to be directed.
  • Highly numerate with strong analytical and problem-solving capability; debugs methodically rather than guessing.
  • Resilient and adaptable, with a genuine "can do" attitude.

THE DETAILS

  • Permanent, full time — Monday to Friday, flexible working options considered (35 hours weekly).
  • Hybrid — FSC office (KLIC) with 2 days weekly WFH.
  • Competitive salary + 20 days holiday + your birthday off + 11 public holidays + healthcare scheme + other company benefits.
