About the role

We are seeking a commercially astute and forward-looking Head of Procurement, IT to lead our global IT sourcing strategy. This is a high-impact leadership role responsible for shaping how we invest across software, cloud, infrastructure, and digital services—ensuring technology spend accelerates innovation, scalability, and operational resilience. 

You will partner directly with senior technology leaders to influence strategic decisions, optimise cost structures, and build a high-performing supplier ecosystem that supports our global ambitions. 

What You’ll Be Responsible For 

Strategic Impact 

• Define and execute a global IT procurement strategy aligned to enterprise technology and digital transformation priorities 

• Proactively identify market trends across SaaS, cloud, and emerging technologies to shape category strategy and maintain competitive advantage. 

• Establish governance frameworks to drive transparency, control, and speed in decision-making 

• Lead change management and drive any business transformational initiatives 

Sourcing & Commercial Delivery 

• Lead complex, high-value sourcing initiatives across software, cloud, infrastructure, and managed services 

• Drive best-in-class commercial outcomes through negotiation, cost optimisation, and contract structuring 

• Embed data-led decision-making through cost modelling, benchmarking, and usage optimisation 

Stakeholder & Supplier Leadership 

• Partner with CIO and senior IT leaders to shape demand and influence investment decisions 

• Build strategic relationships with global technology vendors and hyperscalers 

• Act as a trusted advisor and escalation point for complex commercial challenges. 

Team & Capability Building 

• Lead and develop a specialised IT procurement team with deep expertise in digital sourcing, strong commercial, analytical, and financial acumen 

• Drive continuous improvement, automation, and adoption of best practices in cost modelling, contract risk assessment, and value tracking 

• Foster a culture of accountability, transparency, continuous improvement, and ethical conduct 

Risk & Compliance 

• Ensure supplier ecosystem meets cybersecurity, regulatory, and data protection standards 

• Embed robust risk management across critical IT services and vendor dependencies  

About you

• 12–18 years’ experience in indirect or services procurement with proven experience leading IT procurement in a complex, global environment 

• Strong commercial acumen with deep knowledge of software licensing, cloud economics, and vendor management 

• Ability to influence senior stakeholders, drive transformation and operate at pace in a dynamic environment 

• Track record of delivering measurable cost and value outcomes 

• Strategic & Operational Excellence: Translates strategy into action, ensuring rigor, consistency, and execution throughout source to contract cycle and supplier engagement
