We are seeking an experienced Chef Supervisor for a fast-paced commercial kitchen. This is a hands-on position involving both cooking and kitchen supervision. The successful candidate must be prepared to work during peak meal periods, weekends and public holidays.

Responsibilities

• Personally handle food preparation and cooking during busy service periods
• Supervise kitchen staff and allocate daily duties
• Maintain consistent food quality, taste, presentation and portion control
• Monitor food costs, wastage and inventory levels
• Conduct stock-taking and arrange ingredient replenishment
• Ensure proper food storage, kitchen cleanliness and food-safety compliance
• Train junior kitchen employees and monitor their performance
• Assist with menu planning and improvement of kitchen procedures
• Resolve operational issues and customer feedback promptly
• Perform opening and closing duties
• Carry out other kitchen duties when manpower is insufficient

Requirements

• Minimum [3–5] years of relevant commercial-kitchen experience
• At least [1–2] years of kitchen supervisory experience
• Proven hands-on experience preparing [insert actual cuisine/dishes]
• Able to work independently under pressure in a hot and fast-paced environment
• Able to stand for prolonged periods and handle kitchen supplies of up to [actual weight] kg
• Strong knowledge of food hygiene, inventory control and cost management
• Must be available for split shifts, weekends and public holidays
• Six-day work week, with rest day determined according to the operational roster
