Job Description

Responsibilities

The Company

IRVINS is Singapore's homegrown premium snack brand, built on an obsession with bold flavours and uncompromising quality. Founded in 2008, we pivoted from an F&B restaurant into a modern food CPG company — and haven't looked back since. Today, we operate across 5 offices and 15 markets worldwide, with a manufacturing facility in Singapore and a fast-growing retail and e-commerce footprint.

We are in a defining growth phase — scaling aggressively in the USA and China while deepening our roots in Southeast Asia. This is not a role for someone who wants to manage a steady-state HR function. This is a builder's role, for someone who wants to shape the people and culture of a brand going global.

The Role

As VP, People, you will be a core member of the IRVINS Leadership Team, reporting directly to the CEO. You will own the full people agenda across our Singapore HQ, manufacturing plant, retail operations, distribution centre, and international offices in the USA and China — and as we grow, every new market we enter.

You will lead a lean team of three and work with significant autonomy. Our CXOs are strong strategists — they need a VP of People who is an equally strong executor: someone who can translate direction into action, make decisions independently, and get things done without waiting to be told how.

What Success Looks Like in Year One

A people strategy that is clearly defined, communicated, and being executed across all geographies

A performance management culture that is data-driven, continuous, and trusted by the team

Our USA and China offices have scalable HR foundations — compliant, structured, and talent-ready

Our manufacturing and retail workforce feel seen, supported, and part of a winning culture

The People team has grown in capability and confidence, operating as true business partners

What You'll Do

Own and execute the people strategy across all of IRVINS' geographies — Singapore, USA, China, and beyond

Partner with the CEO and Leadership Team on organisational design, workforce planning, and culture building

Lead performance management end-to-end: from framework design to execution, coaching managers and building a continuous feedback culture

Drive talent acquisition and retention strategies that make IRVINS a destination employer across office, manufacturing, retail, and supply chain

Build and scale HR foundations for our high-growth international offices, particularly in the USA and China

Champion our factory and retail workforce — designing people programmes that drive productivity, safety, and pride in the work

Spearhead HR technology, analytics, and automation to shift the People team from administrative to strategic

Design and deliver L&D programmes tailored to office, manufacturing, retail, and distribution teams

Be the cultural heartbeat of the company — the person our people trust, approach, and feel genuinely supported

Who You Are

Deeply people-centric — warm, approachable, and genuinely trusted by employees at every level of the organisation

A strong executor who takes ownership, makes decisions with confidence, and delivers without needing to be managed

Experienced across a complex, multi-function organisation — ideally spanning office, manufacturing, retail, and supply chain

Comfortable operating across multiple countries and cultures, with specific appreciation for the US and China markets being a strong advantage

Highly data-driven — you use people analytics to inform decisions, not just report on them

Experienced in a high-growth or startup environment, with the ability to build structure without creating bureaucracy

Knowledgeable in Singapore employment law; familiarity with US and China labour regulations is a plus

A culture builder who understands that how people feel at work directly drives business outcomes

Minimum 12 years of progressive HR experience, currently or recently in a Head, Director, VP, or equivalent leadership role

Background in FMCG, manufacturing, retail, or supply chain sectors preferred

Why IRVINS

Seat at the table — you will be part of the Leadership Team with real influence on company direction

Genuine autonomy — you will own the people agenda, not just execute someone else's

A brand with momentum — we are growing fast, with strong products and an even stronger culture to build on

A CEO who cares deeply about people and culture, and will be your closest partner in this work
