About the Role:

We are looking for a Virtualization Services SME (Subject Matter Expert) to oversee and manage the technical aspects of our modern desktop solutions. In this global role, you will act as the primary point of contact for the region, balancing day-to-day operational escalations with strategic service improvements.

This role focuses on technical solutioning, architecture oversight, and service management rather than deep, daily hands-on configuration. If you possess a strong technical understanding of Windows 365 or Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) migrations, can construct strategic business cases, and have experience guiding third-party providers on Citrix and Microsoft virtualization platforms, we want to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead virtualization technical solutioning, support, and regional strategy, including developing business cases for technology transformations such as Windows 365 or Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) migrations.
• Oversee the daily technical management and governance of Citrix Virtualization Desktop Infrastructure, Microsoft Windows 365 (Cloud PCs) / Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD), and Virtualization Image release pipelines.
• Act as the single point of contact for Global End User Services in the region, managing technical escalations, queries, and technology change transitions.
• Manage and govern relationships with Microsoft, outsourced service providers, and System Integrators to ensure SLA adherence and drive continuous Service Improvement Plans.
• Ensure all virtualization designs, releases, and modern workplace endpoints adhere to global IT standards, security policies, and compliance requirements.

Essential Experience & Skills:

• Strong technical understanding of virtualization desktop environments across both Citrix and Microsoft platforms (Windows 10/11 multi-session, Windows 365, or Azure Virtual Desktop / AVD).
• Proven track record in technology transformation and migration planning, including building business cases and providing technical oversight for Windows 365 or AVD migrations.
• Conceptual and operational knowledge of the Microsoft 365 ecosystem, Intune core capabilities, and Modern Workplace management to effectively guide service providers.
• Experience working in a large global organization managing in-sourced and out-sourced IT partners, with a strong grasp of ITIL service delivery processes.
• Robust leadership and communication skills to unite cross-functional teams (business analysts, third-party technical experts) and translate technical requirements into business results.

Beneficial Qualifications:

• Relevant industry certifications, such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Virtual Desktop Specialty (AZ-140), Microsoft 365 Certified, or ITIL frameworks.
• Experience in project management overseeing global deployment projects and infrastructure upgrades.
